About

Local Decatur girls make up the the Beer Brew Girls!  Living in the diverse city of Decatur, Georgia and surrounding areas, our home brewing process started from the love of Belgian beers and the idea of making it for cheaper than $16 a 4 pack. $16 ? Right I know! What we spend on the pleasure beer gives us!

One day, we came up with the interest of learning how to make beer. Within the first month or so of getting the home brew kit and some supplies, were fully into this homebrewing process and went out and purchased a fermentor (a freezer that is used in a controlled warmer temperature environment for the beer process in this stage). Since then we have spent $$$ on additional home brew supplies, built an all-grain mash tun system and has learned some good tips and mistakes along the way of home brew journey.

What started as a personal hobby in August 2009 to save us a buck or two has become what seems to be part of needed movement in the brewery industry – the need and want for more female brewers.

So we’ve turned our idea and passion into a group of homebrewers! Women and men are welcome.

Join us and comment to share your own home brew stories, tips and tricks and any stuff about beer!

We’d love to hear from you!

Cheers!
